Mobile Clinic for Covid 19 Cases and Disaster Response Missions Rotary Year: 2020

This project aimed to test Persons Under Monitoring (PUM) and Persons Under Investigation (PUI). Bauan Medical Center, the government-owned hospital, provided a space for Covid patients, but it was insufficient for the sudden increase in suspected cases. The mobile clinic, along with health workers, visited the homes of PUM and PUI to test them, preventing crowding at the hospital and reducing the spread of the disease by keeping suspected patients at home.

The people of Bauan Township were in desperate need of medical care. The project also provided general health care to each barangay and aimed to train them in basic health care. With this mobile clinic, immediate assistance was provided to remote barangays in the municipality where access to medical and health care was previously non-existent.

Community Need: Based on our community needs assessment, we found that with the provision of a mobile clinic, the Bauan General Hospital staff and health workers will be able to do their job efficiently and with faster contact tracing results.

Beneficiaries: The project benefitted the municipality of Bauan, Batangas, consisting of a little over 100,000 people in over 40 barangays.

Project Partners: RC Gugweon-South Korea, RC Bauan-Philippines, RC Schliersee-Germany and ICC Germany-Philippines.

Project Budget: 36 T USD
